Photographing boy seniors could not be more different than with the girls!
The girls just seem to be able to pose on command...not so much with the guys. And to make it worse, often times they can feel frustrated because they don't know what to do. So, when I photograph one of the guys I let them know that I will be leading them through everything they need to do. This includes showing them what I am talking about. How to sit or stand, what to do with there hands, where to face and how to look at the camera.
As you can see Peter pulled it off without a hitch. We ended up photographing in two different locations and in the studio. Below is one of the images by the river, well almost in it.
What to wear for most guys is also a little simpler. Most of the times it is what the come to the session in. Peter did bring some other clothes as well. You may have noticed the suit and tie. This is not required but, most parents enjoy have a more dressed up portrait to go with the others. The thing the guys really like are cars, hobbies and sports. Below it his Baseball Loft Portrait.
How cool is this. For the parents, just imagine when he shows this to his son. But, that's a long way off. For now he is just cool looking. This creation is all part of a guys Senior Pictures Session @ Robert Akers Photography.
